Looking for an Angel(male)I was born across the seas in a tiny village called GYOR in the Austro-Hungarian Empire. I was cursed with a heart at birth. As fate would have it, it would be broken many times over in the quest to find my true love. I was born unto a beautiful queen who instilled upon me the values of a kind and gentle prince, but leaving out the price I would have to pay for that gentleness. My queen mother taught me to respect all women, to be honest, to be trusting, to be faithful, and to love with all my heart. My gallant father the king taught me to work hard at anything that I do, and that I can nconquer any dragon that crosses my path. He instilled upon me the values of courage, and of self reliance, he taught me to build castles, fight wars, to make peace, and how to earn the respect of others. Then one day came a scourge upon the country, of which he had no control, and we were exiled to this country across the sea called America. And that’s when I knew how great a king my father was. He started with nothing in this great country and managed to take good care of us. As we lost everything when we left our home land across the sea. At the age of seventeen years I set out to find the meaning of life. I left behind a princessI had met while growing up with a promise that when I returned we would wed. I enlisted in a legion to fight a war across the sea in a land called south-east Asia. I felt it my duty to thisnew country which gave my family sanctuary. To fight this dragon called communism. I returned home and wed my princess and before I left to go fight this dragon I found out that I was to have a daughter, much to my joy. I soon left and my life was never the same. In this new land I found out what war was all about. How truly evil man can be. I suffered physical and mental wounds which would heal with time. And returning for the birth of my daughter was the most joyous day of my life. Little did I know that my heart was soon to be shattered by my wife. For while I was gone she fell into the arms of another, my best friend. The pain was more then any physical pain could be and thus the second scar to this thing called “Heart”. I stayed in this land for a time while my wounds healed enough to travel, and decided to go back home. To the comfort of my family’s castle where I knew I would be healed the rest of the way by my mother the Queen. And I would find some encouring words from my father the King. For it was some twelve years since I gazed upon my family’s faces. So I bid farewell to my friends and comrades at arms and the quest began. The last thing I remember seeing was the look in my daughter’s eyes as I left. The look of “why”. And It still haunts me to this day. “Everyday”. For as soon as I left my ex-wife moved as well. And to this day I do not know where they are. I have searched and searched but to no avail. But I have not given up hope. For hope is life’s blood, and without hope I would die. I know in my heart that some day we would be together once more. Thus the third scar to this thing called “Heart”. I traveled for days upon days and with every footstep the haunting sounds and visions of the past echoed in my head. The laughter of my daughter the when there was joy. Her cries when there was sadness. And the feeling of uncertainty on this quest called life. But soon I was to arrive in this land called Washington. The land of new hope. But little did I know this land would yield even more scars to this thing called a “Heart”. Then the day came I arrived at the Castle of my family. Upon arriving my mother and father were there to greet me, and as I approached I dropped to there feet. Like a wounded animal returning home after a long painful journey. They picked me up, and the tears in my mothers eyes said many things without words. And my fathers powerful embrace gave me back the strength that I had lost. Then out stepped my sister whom I had not seen since she was a little girl. She had grown up to be a beautiful princess in my absence. “I was home”. As I stood there the feelings of peace and contentment surged through my body like a cool stream relieving the heat of the day. But little did know that in this new land called Washington I would run across two more dragons that would leave even more scars to this thing called a heart.
